The South Florida Hospital and Healthcare Association (SFHHA) elected C. Kenon Hetlage Chairman of the Board during the organization’s annual meeting.

Hetlage received his Masters in Health Administration from Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis where he worked at Barnes Hospital from 1981 to 1988. He has worked at Memorial Health System since 1988 and was administrator of Memorial Pembroke before his current position as Administrator of their newest hospital, Memorial Miramar. Hetlage is a Fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives and is a Board member of the United Way of Broward County.

In addition to his election, SFHHA announced other new officers, Heather Rohan, CEO, Aventura Hospital, will serve as Vice Chairman; Aurelio Fernandez, CEO, Florida Medical Center, will serve as Past Chairman; Patricia Greenberg, Vice President, National Healthcare Associates, will serve as Treasurer; and Fred Stock, CEO, Miami Jewish Home & Hospital for the Aged will serve as Secretary.
