Lakeside Medical Center marked five years of providing quality medical care to the Glades area with a community celebration at the hospital on January 15th. More than 100 community partners, city officials, business leaders, residents and hospital staff filled the cafeteria to mark the historic milestone that in 2009 brought a new, modern hospital to the medically underserved Glades region. The event also celebrated Lakeside Medical Center’s recent distinction by The Joint Commission as a 2013 Top Performer on Key Quality Measures®, for attaining and sustaining excellence in accountability measure performance for heart attack, heart failure, pneumonia and surgical care.
