February 11, 2022) – On Valentine’s Day, February 14 from 3-5 p.m., Lawnwood Regional Medical Center in partnership with Life Alliance Organ Recovery is hosting a special ceremony to honor donor families in the community and also celebrate the lives of transplant recipients who received the gift of life.

During the ceremony, donor families will share their reflection stories and there will also be a message of hope from an organ recipient. The ceremony will take place outside in front of the hospital by Lawnwood’s Garden  of Life.

“We are proud to honor the donor families in the Treasure Coast whose loved ones have made a profound difference through organ and tissue donation,” said Eric Goldman, Lawnwood Regional Medical Center Chief Executive Officer. “Through our partnership with the Life Alliance Organ Recovery Agency, Lawnwood has the opportunity to save countless lives through organ donation as well as provide organs and tissues for research to advance medical science.”

The program will conclude with a butterfly release in the garden to honor the donors. There will be a dedication in the garden where donor families can reflect and a flag is raised in their honor.
