February 5, 2026 – LeadingAge Southeast, the premier association serving high-quality senior living providers across parts of the Southeast, is pleased to announce that Samantha Jessee has joined the organization as Director of Communications. Jessee brings more than a decade of experience in strategic communications, external affairs, and advocacy-focused messaging to the role.

In her position, Jessee will lead the association’s communications strategy, driving member engagement through intentional messaging that elevates the work and impact of LeadingAge Southeast and its members across Florida, Alabama, Louisiana, and Mississippi.

“Samantha brings a thoughtful and strategic approach to communications that aligns perfectly with our mission and values,” said Steve Bahmer, President & CEO of LeadingAge Southeast. “Her experience working across corporate, public, and member-driven organizations, along with her strong background in advocacy, will further strengthen our ability to connect with members, policymakers, and partners throughout the region.”

Prior to joining LeadingAge Southeast, Samantha oversaw the communications and outreach programs at Talquin Electric Cooperative, where she led internal and external communications, media relations, crisis response, community engagement, and legislative affairs in support of national, state, and local advocacy priorities. Previously, she held senior communications and investor relations roles at Trulieve during a period of rapid growth and served in the Executive Office of the Governor, supporting policy development and legislative initiatives.

Throughout her career, Jessee has worked directly with executive teams across corporate, public, and member-driven organizations to develop clear, effective communications strategies that strengthen engagement, build trust, and connect people to the issues that matter most.
