July 1, 2025 – —LeadingAge Southeast, the premier association representing mission-driven senior living providers across Florida, Alabama, Louisiana, and Mississippi, is pleased to announce that Joey Mookerjee will join the organization as Chief Operating Officer, effective July 7, 2025.
Mookerjee brings more than 15 years of operational leadership in senior living to the role, with deep experience in community management, strategic planning, and organizational performance.

His expertise will be instrumental as we navigate the evolving needs of the senior living field and ensure that LeadingAge Southeast remains a powerful advocate and resource for our members.”
As COO, Mookerjee will oversee the daily operations of LeadingAge Southeast and lead key functional areas including communications, membership, professional development, and sponsorships. He will work closely with Bahmer to implement the association’s strategic vision and support the continued growth and impact of its member services.
Prior to joining LeadingAge Southeast, Joey held executive leadership roles with Brookdale Senior Living, Lifespace Communities, and Westminster Communities of Florida. With experience in both on-the-ground community leadership and home office support roles, Mookerjee has led a variety of initiatives spanning quality improvement, stakeholder engagement and systems integration.

Mookerjee holds a Master of Health Services Administration from The George Washington University and a Bachelor of Arts from Albion College.
