Sept. 25, 2025 — We are pleased to announce the promotion of Tracy Stott Pyles to Chief Legal Officer and General Counsel, succeeding Mary McGillicuddy, who has taken on a new role as Special Executive Counsel.
Pyles joined Lee Health in 2017 and most recently served in the role of Vice President and Senior Deputy General Counsel where she led the health system’s legal affairs and oversaw the legal professionals responsible for regulatory compliance, human resources, litigation, government investigations, and revenue integrity.
An honors graduate from The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law, Pyles was a Partner at a large international law firm where she specialized in complex litigation and regulatory matters and represented companies in federal courts across the country, including at the U.S. Supreme Court.
In her new role as Chief Legal Officer and General Counsel, Pyles serves as Lee Health’s chief legal advisor, responsible for advising the organization on the legal and regulatory risks associated with its business strategies and providing counsel to health system leadership and the Board of Directors. Pyles oversees the Legal Services and Risk Management Departments and serves as the organization’s Corporate Secretary responsible for corporate governance matters.

Mary McGillicuddy has assumed a new role as Special Executive Counsel, where she will provide expertise and strategic legal guidance on corporate and governance matters as Lee Health finalizes its conversion to a private not-for-profit corporation. Additionally, McGillicuddy will provide advice and guidance to senior leadership, Medical Staff leadership and the Board of Directors.
