February 4, 2020 – To coincide with Leap Year, Lee Health has discounted the price of Lee TeleHealth to $29 for the month of February, a discount of $20 dollar off the regular price. Lee TeleHealth is a convenient alternative to visiting the emergency department or a walk-in clinic when suffering from an illness or injury that is nonlife-threatening.
Lee Telehealth allows patients to book a visit with a physician or advanced provider from the comfort of their home or office, without battling traffic or sitting in a waiting room. The service is available 24/7, and patients interact with the doctor or advanced provider by utilizing the camera and microphone on their phone, tablet or computer. The provider also has the ability to call in a prescription or make a referral, if necessary.
“Lee TeleHealth is a great option to save time and money when suffering from a wide array of common illnesses or injuries,” said Kris Fay, chief administrative officer of Lee Physician Group, Home Health and Physician Services. “Southwest Florida’s roads and businesses are very crowded this time of year, and we discounted Lee TeleHealth to encourage more people to utilize the service, helping them get better and back to their daily routines sooner.”
Patients using the telehealth service can seek treatment and receive a prescription for a variety of conditions, including:
•Cold and flu
•Sinus infections
•Rashes
•Pink eye
•Headaches
•Urinary tract infections
•Allergies
•Cough
•Sprains and strains
Every visit is encrypted to protect private information, and patients can expect the same level of care they would receive in a traditional doctor’s office. For current Lee Health patients, telehealth visits are added to their health record to ensure continuity of care.
Lee TeleHealth can be accessed in the following convenient ways:
