Leon Medical Centers Health Plans, Inc., a leading Medicare Advantage Organization, announced the appointment of Clifford J. Bauer, an industry leader with more than 30 years experience, as Chief Operating Officer (COO).

Prior to joining Leon Medical Centers Health Plans, Bauer was consultant and member of the Board of Directors for South Florida Hospital Association and Healthcare Association. Previously, he has served as Chief Executive Officer for a number of prestigious hospitals including Kindred Hospital in Fort Lauderdale, as well as North Ridge Medical Center and Hialeah Hospital, both owned by Tenet Healthcare Corporation.
