The South Florida Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (SFLHCC) recently held its Hispanic Leadership Awards luncheon at the Doral Golf Resort and Spa Champions Pavilion. A group of distinct and well deserving professionals were honored and received Top Hispanic Leaders of South Florida awards. Following the awards presentation, Florida National University (FNU) announced a special scholarship program. Florida National University was pleased to share that through the SFLHCC, FNU will award a scholarship to each and every Miami-Dade County Public High School. This exemplifies FNU’s commitment to continue serving, enriching, and educating our community.
The SFLHCC – FNU scholarship program will provide all Miami-Dade County high schools an opportunity to award one scholarship to a deserving graduate. To qualify, applicants must complete the required Scholarship Request form. All entries must be submitted to the South Florida Hispanic Chamber of Commerce by June 5, 2013.
“FNU is honored and excited to offer the opportunity to attend our University to Miami-Dade County Public Schools graduates,” said Maria Cristina Regueiro, FNU President. “This scholarship program preserves the legacy of the late Dr. Jose Regueiro to educate those with the highest needs in our community.”
