About the choice of nearby restaurants, Zinner remarks that unless a restaurant is outstanding it won’t survive in the Florida Keys. So what prompts a hospital administrator to retire to a life of looking after resort guests in the Florida Keys? Mused Zinner, “I wanted to do something fun and live in the Keys. Besides, making rounds every day as a hospital administrator isn’t very different than walking the beach to check on my guests to make sure they’re happy.” Zinner has worked in health care from the Managed Care side, along with his stints as an assistant administrator at Cedars Hospital, and Coral Gables and Jackson Memorial Hospitals. He admits that the marketing skills he acquired in his work also come in handy when running a resort.
To date there are no impacts affecting the beaches in South Florida and the water is as pristine as ever.
