November 6, 2023 Baptist Health today announced that Lourdes A. Boue has been appointed chief executive officer of Baptist Health Doctors Hospital. She will succeed Javier Hernandez-Lichtl, who maintained executive positions with Baptist Health for more than three decades. Boue will also continue in her existing position as chief executive officer of Baptist Health West Kendall Baptist Hospital, expanding her role as the leader of both community hospitals.

Boue’s previous positions include vice president of operations for West Kendall Baptist Hospital, vice president of Baptist Outpatient Services and corporate director of strategic planning and business development for Baptist Health.

“Lourdes Boue’s extensive experience and accomplishments solidify her as a force within the organization and our South Florida community at large,” said Glenn Waters, executive vice president and chief operating officer of Baptist Health. “A passionate leader, she has helped drive the success of Baptist Health for more than 20 years, and we are thrilled for her to be joining the team at Doctors Hospital.”

An active member of the community, Boue is a current board member of the Southeast Florida Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association, past chairperson of the board for the Epilepsy Foundation of Florida, past chairperson of the State of Florida Board of Accountancy Probable Cause Panel and past co-chairperson and member of the Agency Audit Committee for United Way of Miami-Dade. She currently serves as a mentor for Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Miami.

Boue is a graduate of Florida International University with a Bachelor of Business Administration. She also holds a Master of Science in Leadership from the H. Wayne Huizenga School of Business and Entrepreneurship at Nova Southeastern University.
