Lourdes Castaneda-Jacobs, R.N., has been promoted to director of patient care at Baptist Children’s Hospital in Kendall.

A hospital employee since 1984, Castaneda-Jacobs most recently served as the manager for Pediatrics, Pediatric Intensive Care and the Pediatric Transitional Care Unit.

She earned a bachelor’s degree in nursing and a master’s degree in nursing administration from Barry University in Miami Shores. She serves as an adjunct faculty member at Barry University in the nursing administration program.

Castaneda-Jacobs is a member of the South Florida Organization of Nurse Executives and the Society of Pediatric Nurses.
