Marisel Losa, MHSA, President & CEO of the Health Council of South Florida (HCSF), was recognized by the March of Dimes as a community humanitarian along with other prestigious community leaders. Losa was selected to receive a Humanitarian of the Year Award for her personal involvement and commitment to making a difference in our community.

 

Losa has over 30 years of experience in the healthcare arena in South Florida. Her tireless advocacy on behalf of cost-effective programs, initiatives to reduce healthcare spending, while improving the health and well-being of Florida residents, has positively impacted public health efforts in Miami-Dade and Monroe counties. As President & CEO of the HCSF, Losa works with a dedicated team of health professionals, committed to effective strategic health planning and service coordination; program development and evaluation; chronic disease management and health disparities; and promotion of wellness and healthy lifestyles for both Miami-Dade and Monroe counties.
