Joel Shepherd has been elected vice chairman of the Mariners Hospital Foundation Board of Directors. Shepherd is a graduate of the University of Texas in Austin. He has served in the U.S. Army and operated Shepherd Products Co., which originally sold specialty papers for industrial and military packaging. Shepherd is president of the Card Sound Golf Club and the Ocean Reef Rod and Gun Club.
