Mariners Hospital Nursing Leadership Council recently recognized two members of the hospital’s nursing community. Therese Havel, R.N., was named Mariners Hospital Nurse of the Year. Ledesma Guess was selected Patient Care Technician of the Year.

Havel has been with Baptist Health for 28 years and currently works on the Medical/Surgical floor. She was nominated by peers for her willingness to share knowledge and for calmness in any type of situation. Guess has been with Mariners for three years. She, too, works on the Medical/Surgical floor and received the award based on her teamwork, professionalism and clinical excellence.
