Martin Health System has been awarded the 2013 Frances Smith Clinical Excellence Award from the Florida Nurses Association.

 

Martin Health specifically demonstrated support of nursing clinical excellence by providing programs such as the Novice Nurse, an orientation geared toward the unique needs of newly graduated nurses; an emerging leader program for aspiring nurse leaders; oncology and critical care residencies designed to increase knowledge and empower clinical nurses; participation in the American Organization of Nurse Executives Care Innovation and Transformation Initiative (CIT) program aimed at teaching teams how to innovate and measure change to improve patient care; and a robust nursing research program.
