When I accepted the role of President of Holy Cross Medical Group nearly 18 months ago, there were about 170 employed physicians. Since then, the Executive Leadership Team and I have been laser focused on recruiting top doctors that fit the Holy Cross Mission of providing compassionate care in the spirit of the gospel. These efforts have resulted in 20% growth of our Medical Group, with the addition of new physicians, APPs, PAs and CRNAs.

Holy Cross Medical Group is now nearly 200 physicians strong with primary care doctors working in tandem with a wide range of specialists in the referral network, creating a multi-disciplinary team with open lines of communication to discuss patient care. With our new ambulatory sites opening soon in Deerfield Beach and Sunrise, we are addressing population growth, demographics and needs of our community. We’re also expanding our service lines with the addition of dermatology and ear, nose and throat and actively recruiting distinguished physicians to develop these practices.

Retention of our exceptional physicians is extremely important to us because it allows our patients to build long-term relationships with their care team. What health care professionals will find at Holy Cross Health is transparency and trust. Here they can follow patients through the entire spectrum of care.

Following a long, comprehensive recruitment process to find the top cardiothoracic surgeons, the esteemed Kushagra Katariya, MD, FACS and Marc Gibber, MD joined Holy Cross Health in late 2025 when we relaunched our cardiothoracic surgery program. We continue to attract exceptional clinical leaders, most recently welcoming Lawrence Ward, MD, MPH, MACP, as our Medical Group’s new Chief Medical Officer.

The future is so bright at Holy Cross Health, a member of Trinity Health. Our new president and CEO Pierre Monice, FACHE is very involved in the day-to-day operations and always accessible to our physicians and the Medical Group team.

Our patients also benefit from our use of Epic Systems Corporation’s electronic health record, MyChart, that enables our physicians to seamlessly access the records of patients who have been treated at any Trinity Health location in the country. This is especially helpful for our patients who are snowbirds and routinely visit doctors and hospitals in other states.

Holy Cross Medical Group’s modern facilities, cutting-edge technology and state-of-the-art equipment are undoubtedly helping us recruit top talent and make us the provider of choice for our community.
