The Memorial Rehabilitation Institute recently announced the employment of Meilani Mapa, M.D., as Medical Director of Brain Injury and Quality. She also joins the Memorial Physician Group and the physicians at the Memorial Division of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.
Dr. Mapa, is a board-certified doctor of physical medicine and rehabilitation. She earned her medical degree from Northeast Ohio Medical University in 2003, and completed her internship at Summa Health Systems/Northeastern Ohio Universities College of Medicine in 2004. She served as resident physician in physical medicine and rehabilitation at Baylor College of Medicine/University of Texas from 2004 to 2007, and completed her fellowship in brain injury medicine there in 2008.
