After more than 24 years as an ICU nurse, including the last nine within Memorial Healthcare System, Jeena Easow has fully embraced mentoring newer nurses.

“I love teaching clinicals, about inpatient care, and new technologies,” said Easow, who has been a charge and resource nurse, as well as a member of the Rapid Response team. “I take my time with them, encouraging them to remain positive and learn everything they can.”

From an early age Easow knew she wanted to help others, with her desire to become a nurse inspired by family members that were already working in healthcare in India. “I’ve never had another job in my life, so I know it was my purpose to be a nurse,” said the 2024 Memorial Excellence Award winner. “I’m thankful to be part of this healthcare system and want to keep growing and giving back to patients and coworkers.”
