As health information technology expands and becomes widely adopted throughout the United States, trained professionals are essential at various health care facilities and physician offices. Miami Dade College, Medical Campus, is a known leader in addressing the needs of the health care community and offers three fully accredited health information programs. These include an Associate of Science degree in Health Information Technology, and two short-term programs — Health Informatics Specialist and a Medical Coder/Biller Specialist, all strategically designed to allow working professionals the opportunity to pursue a convenient, affordable education in health information.
