Dr. Lillian Rivera, RN, MSN, PhD, Administrator of the Miami-Dade County Health Department, Dr. Samir Elmir, PE, PhD, Director of the Office of Environmental Health and Engineering and Stephanie Atherley, RN, MPH, a recently retired nurse from the Office of Epidemiology and Disease Control, were recently honored as recipients of the Florida International Universitys Robert Stempel School of Public Health, Paths of Public Health Awards. The Paths of Public Health Awards were established to recognize individuals and organizations in public health for their contributions and commitment to promoting and protecting the health of the South Florida community.
