Michael A. Chizner, M.D., chief medical director of The Heart Center of Excellence of the North Broward Hospital District, has been appointed to the Florida Board of Medicine by Governor Charlie Crist. His term runs through October 31, 2010.

Dr. Michael A. Chizner, a cardiologist, is a clinical professor of medicine at the University of Miami School of Medicine, the University of Florida College of Medicine, Nova Southeastern University College of Osteopathic Medicine, and Barry University. Dr. Chizner graduated from New York University and Cornell University Medical College
