Miller Construction Company has completed the 14,000-square-foot Michael & Dianne Bienes Diagnostic Imaging Center at Holy Cross Hospital.

The $6 million construction project created an expanded, state-of-the-art outpatient imaging department at the hospital’s core. According to Wayne Hannaka, Miller’s director of healthcare construction, the imaging facility offers a dedicated entrance steps away from the hospital’s main entry, with inviting finishes in reception and waiting areas to enhance patient comfort.

Among the project’s challenges was widening and altering several hallways and other areas to accommodate installation of an 18,000-pound MRI machine. “This was a complex 12-month scope of work completed in just seven months,” said Hannaka.
