April 6, 2026 — Mount Sinai Medical Center has earned the Standards of Excellence in Quality of Outcomes, Practice, and Organization from the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, becoming the first hospital in Florida to earn this recognition.
The recognition comes at a time of growing national focus on the role of hospital nutrition in patient outcomes and recovery, reinforcing Mount Sinai’s longstanding investment in evidence-based nutrition care.
For patients, this recognition affirms that nutrition care at Mount Sinai is delivered by highly credentialed professionals, guided by evidence-based protocols, and supported by systems designed to drive measurable outcomes. Nutrition plays a critical role in recovery, chronic disease management, length of stay, and overall quality of life, and this designation confirms that Mount Sinai’s approach meets rigorous national standards set by the profession’s leading organization.

The Clinical Nutrition team delivers comprehensive nutrition and dietetics services across the medical center’s campuses, supporting a diverse patient population throughout Miami Beach and the surrounding communities.
This builds on a series of recent quality recognitions for Mount Sinai. This year, the medical center was designated a Cancer Center of Excellence by the Florida Department of Health and named one of America’s 100 Best Hospitals for 2026 by Healthgrades, placing it in the top 2% of hospitals nationwide for overall clinical performance.
