Golf tournament, auction and helicopter ball drop benefit local cancer patients, families

April 20, 2026 – Naples Lakes Country Club has raised more than $100,000 through its third annual Tee’d Off at Cancer fundraiser to benefit the mission of Cancer Alliance Network, a Southwest Florida nonprofit dedicated to supporting local cancer patients and their families.

Held March 29 at the Naples Lakes Country Club, the event featured a golf tournament with morning and afternoon shotgun starts, an auction and a helicopter ball drop conducted by the Collier County Sheriff’s Office. More than 250 golfers participated in the tournament, and more than 260 golf balls were dropped to the green as the community came together in a meaningful show of generosity and support for local families facing cancer.

Funds raised benefit Cancer Alliance Network’s efforts to provide dignity for individuals with cancer, and their families, in Collier and Lee counties through non-medical financial assistance, resources and support programs. Through the generosity of community partners and supporters, the nonprofit helps relieve the financial strain and emotional stress that often accompany a cancer diagnosis.

“We are incredibly grateful to Naples Lakes Country Club and all of the sponsors, residents, participants and supporters who made this event such a tremendous success,” said Neftali Feliciano, CEO of Cancer Alliance Network. “Raising more than $100,000 is a remarkable accomplishment, and these funds will make a meaningful difference for local cancer patients and families who need help with essential living expenses during treatment. We are thankful for this partnership and for the compassion shown by everyone involved.”

The event was presented by sponsors Tamiami Ford, Tamiami Hyundai, Genesis of Naples and PBS Contractors. Additional sponsors whose support helped make the day possible included Abbey Carpet & Floor; Affordable Carts; Bill Jones Repair & Reroofs; Clark Insurance; Conditioned Air; DeVoe Automotive Group; Estate Landscaping; Island Bike Shop; John R. Wood; Kitchens by Clay; Naples Pong; Rogers Wood Hill Starman & Gustason P.A.; Severyn Cool Services and ULINE.
