Cristina B. Mata, M.D., M.B.A., has been named associate chief medical officer for Jackson Memorial Hospital.

 

Dr. Mata, a practicing endocrinologist, was most recently the chief medical officer of Holy Cross Medical Group in Fort Lauderdale. Her bachelor’s degree, medical degree, internship, residency, fellowship and masters of business administration were all completed at the University of Miami.

 

Dr. Mata was recognized among the Women of Vision honorees by the Weizmann Institute of Science, and she has previously been honored by the Caducean Society of Greater Fort Lauderdale, the American Diabetes Association and Miami Metro Magazine, among others.
