Dr. Deepak Mandi earned his M.B.B.S in Medicine in 1990 from the Bangalore Medical College in India. He is board certified in Internal Medicine, Geriatric Medicine, and Hospice and Palliative Care. He completed his residency in Internal Medicine in 1997 at St. Lukes Hospital in Missouri and his Fellowship in Geriatrics in 1998 at the Washington University School of Medicine in Missouri.
Dr. Mandi began his VA career in 2000 at the VA Western NY Health Care System in Buffalo, NY and later served as the Chief of Service and Medical Director of Geriatrics and Extended Care. Dr. Mandi joined the West Palm Beach VA Medical Center in 2004 as the Associate Chief of Medicine and Section Chief of Extended Care under the auspice of Medicine Service and became the Service Chief of Extended Care and Community Living Center in 2007.
Based on his vast fund of knowledge and his leadership qualities, Dr. Mandi had served as the Acting Chief of Staff since February 15, 2009 until officially appointed as the Chief of Staff at West Palm Beach VA Medical Center effective May 24th, 2009.
