Paul Pugliese, M.D., has been promoted to senior medical director at VITAS Healthcare in Miami-Dade and Monroe Counties. Board certified in internal medicine and in hospice and palliative medicine, Dr. Pugliese has more than 20 years of medical experience.

 

Dr. Pugliese joined VITAS in 2000 as a team physician. He was promoted to associate medical director in 2008 and to medical director in 2013. Prior to joining VITAS, Dr. Pugliese served as medical director of Florida Acute Care Specialists in Coral Gables, and as lead hospitalist at Jackson North Medical Center in North Miami Beach.

 

Jeffrey Wallace, M.D., has been promoted to associate medical director at VITAS Healthcare in Broward. Board certified in emergency medicine, Dr. Wallace has more than 30 years of medical experience.

 

A highly experienced emergency room physician, Dr. Wallace joined VITAS in 2014 as a home care physician. Prior to joining VITAS, Dr. Wallace worked at Northwest Medical Center in Margate, serving as emergency room medical director for 12 years and as staff physician for 27 years. Earlier in his career, Dr. Wallace served as a staff emergency room physician for Plantation General Hospital and then for Good Samaritan Hospital in West Palm Beach.
