Effective at 7 a.m. today, April 23, Jackson Memorial Hospital’s new emergency room is now open and fully operational.
All patients and emergency medical services (EMS) should now use the new emergency room entrance at 1026 N.W. 19th St. for adult patients seeking treatment for mild to severe emergencies, like broken bones, strokes, heart attacks, and more. Pregnant women in need of emergency care should also use this new entrance. The children’s emergency room at Holtz Children’s Hospital has not moved and remains located on Northwest 17th Street.
The new emergency room will not impact Level I adult and pediatric trauma care at Ryder Trauma Center at Jackson Memorial, located adjacent to the new emergency room at 1800 N.W. 10th Ave., Miami, FL 33136. Ryder Trauma remains fully operational for adults and children with critical injuries.

- Patient Drop-Off: Available directly in front of the facility on Northwest 19th Street
- Parking: A free parking lot is available for patients and visitors directly across from the Northwest 19th Street entrance. Parking is also available at the North/Blue Garage, located at 1120 N.W. 20th Street. Media parking will remain in the media parking lot, located directly in front of Ryder Trauma Center at Jackson Memorial.
- EMS Access: Dedicated ambulance entry points located adjacent to the new emergency room on Northwest 19th Street.
Important Clarification:
- Adult Emergency Room: NOW located on Northwest 19th Street
- Pediatric Emergency Room: Remains unchanged near Holtz Children’s Hospital on Northwest 17th Street.
