The North Broward Hospital District (NBHD) recently honored its Community Relations Council (CRC) members and their accomplishments at an annual luncheon at the Westin Cypress Creek Hotel. The CRC is made up of local residents who volunteer their time by representing the District in the community. They ensure their community is represented and bring suggestions to the District on how to improve services.

“Every day, in all our facilities, employees are dedicated to our mission of improving the health and well being of more than one million residents in our community. We couldnt do that without the help of the Community Relations Councils and the board of commissioners,” said Wil Trower, CEO and president of the North Broward Hospital District. “We thank each member for their own personal time.”

There are seven CRCs within the NBHD and their membership varies in number. Annually, each CRC sets goals and attends regularly scheduled meetings in each region to learn about new medical services and discuss possibilities for future improvements. Each CRC member is an ambassador who communicates feedback and suggestions to the District from their community and also helps spread the word to residents about services and programs offered at each facility.
The seven Community Relations Councils include Broward General Medical Center and the Chris Evert Childrens Hospital, Primary Care, Imperial Point Medical Center, North Broward Medical Center, Senior Services, Coral Springs Medical Center, and Weston Regional HealthPark.
