HCA Florida North Florida Hospital, announced today that it has named veteran healthcare administrator Mark Amox as its new Chief Operating Officer in charge of strategic planning and operations.
March 12, 2024 – HCA Florida North Florida Hospital, announced today that it has named veteran healthcare administrator Mark Amox as its new Chief Operating Officer in charge of strategic planning and operations.
Amox comes to HCA Florida North Florida Hospital after serving as President and Chief Executive Officer at Unity Health in Searcy, Arkansas. He also served as Chief Operating Officer at HCA Regional Medical Center in San Jose, California and at Children’s Hospital at Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center in Las Vegas.
His new role at HCA Florida North Florida Hospital marks a homecoming for Amox, who previously served as Hospital Administrator for UF Health Shands Children’s Hospital, Psychiatric and Rehab Hospitals in Gainesville.

In addition to his professional accomplishments, Amox is active on professional and community boards for the Boy Scouts of America, Ronald McDonald House, and Children’s Miracle Network.
