North Shore Medical Center and the Tenet Healthcare Foundation recently donated $2,500 to GOAL, Inc., an organization that has been serving the special needs of the handicapped homebound of Miami-Dade County since 1971. GOAL’s primary objective is to help clients “Get Out And Live,” by encouraging them to pursue personal independence and autonomy.

The $2,500 will be used to fund the publishing of GOAL’s monthly newsletter, which has a current circulation of 4,000 and is mailed across the United States to GOAL’s clients, businesses, civic organizations, churches and other interested parties. The publication details the social, spiritual and educational services GOAL provides for those severely physically handicapped adults who are confined to their homes.
