North Shore Medical Center FMC Campus recently celebrated the reopening of the Sleep Disorders Center. The newly remodeled Sleep Disorders Center offers comprehensive care to patients suffering from a variety of disorders such as narcolepsy, restless legs syndrome, chronic insomnia, sleep apnea, and even snoring. Proper diagnosis of sleep disorders sometimes requires an overnight sleep study or baseline polysomnogram. Other diagnostic tests that the Sleep Disorders Center can perform include, Split-Night Polysomnogram used for the initial diagnosis of suspected sleep apnea, and Multiple Sleep Latency Test (MSLT) which is used in suspected cases of narcolepsy.
