January 5, 2021 – North Shore Medical Center has appointed Matthew Garner to the position of Chief Executive Officer.  He will be responsible for overseeing all strategic, operational and clinical activities at North Shore Medical Center.

Welch.  ”Matt comes to North Shore from the hospital’s sister campus, Florida Medical Center, and his extensive knowledge of the South Florida market positions him well to grow services that are important to the community,”
 
Prior to joining North Shore Medical Center, Garner was the Chief Operating Officer at Florida Medical Center in Lauderdale Lakes.  In this role, he led a variety of capital initiatives, played a key role in growing core service lines and implemented processes focused on improving standardization and efficiency.  A known relationship builder, Garner was also responsible for leading ancillary and support teams to improve the patient experience.  
 
Garner is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives and received his Bachelor of Science in Health Services Administration from the University of Central Florida and his Master of Health Administration from the University of Florida.
