Northwest Medical Center announced that Mary Lynn Swartz has been appointed Chief Executive Officer.
Swartz replaces Gina Melby who recently left Northwest to become Chief Executive Officer of JFK Medical Center.
Swartz has proven to be a successful part of the administrative team at Northwest for the past nine years. Prior to her appointment as CEO, Swartz was Chief Nursing Officer for the first two years, and then Chief Operating Officer for the past seven years. Before joining Northwest, she worked at HCAs Wesley Medical Center in Wichita, KS and Brotman Medical Center in Culver City, CA for several years in nursing administration.
Swartz earned a RN Diploma from The Christ Hospital School of Nursing in Cincinnati; a BS degree in Healthcare Services from Ottawa University, Kansas City and a MS degree in Executive Medical Management from Nova Southeastern University, Ft. Lauderdale.
