PATIENT ROOM

October 28 2019 – Northwest Medical Center is excited to announce that it has expanded its Pediatric Emergency Room.
Growing to meet the needs of the community, the Pediatric ER has expanded from a 5-bed pediatric area to a dedicated and secure 12-bed unit, providing special care to the pediatric population.

Caring for 12,000 pediatric patients annually, this much needed expansion will allow Northwest Medical Center to serve even more of the communities’ tiniest patients.
What does this mean for the Northern Broward County corridor?  It means that fast, experienced, quality pediatric care is right around the corner 24/7.
“The expansion is much needed for our community and allows our patients to have pediatric care close to home,” said Ann Marie Font, MD, Pediatric Medical Director at Northwest Medical Center.
Parents can rest assured knowing that Northwest Medical Center has Pediatricians on-site 24/7, as well as a dedicated Pediatric Unit, in the event an inpatient admission is necessary.

Continuing to reinvest in the community, Northwest Medical Center has completed the expansion of its brand-new patient tower, offering Maternity and Medical/Surgical services and is looking forward to expanding its Level III NICU in 2020.

Founded over 30 years ago, Northwest Medical Center is the only designated ‘Hospital of the Future’ in South Florida.  Growing with the community, it is a 289-bed medical center, known for its comprehensive services, including 24/7 Adult & Pediatric Emergency Care, Heart & Vascular Care, Robotic Surgery, Maternity Care w/ Level III NICU, Neuroscience/ Stroke Care, Orthopedic Care, Spine Care, Bariatric Surgery, Pediatrics, Urology, Breast Care, Diagnostic Imaging, Pain Management, Aquatic & Physical Rehabilitation and Sleep Disorders.  Continuously expanding and incorporating the latest technology in its delivery of patient care, HCA East Florida is investing $77 Million into the facility to expand its key service lines.
