“Being a part of the planning and opening of the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit at Jupiter Medical Center has been a dream come true,” says Deborah J. Cardenas, RN, BSN, CCRN, Nurse Manager CVICU. “I am immensely proud of being a part of the Cardiology and Cardiovascular care team.” Jupiter Medical Center has seen tremendous growth in this service area, with the launch of the Open-Heart Program and the Structural Heart Program in just the past three years.

Cardenas graduated from Florida International University with her Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing in 1984, and began her nursing career at Miami Heart Institute in the Surgical Intensive Care Unit caring for Post Open Heart surgical patients and others requiring Critical Care, followed by other nursing roles at area hospitals. Cardenas joined Jupiter Medical Center in 2018, in the ICU before being promoted to the PCU/CVICU Nurse Manager role.
