February 24 2025- The more than 75 member organizations of the Nursing Consortium of Florida (Consortium) have elected five new directors, and re-elected one, to serve two-year terms.  The newly elected members of the Consortium’s Board of Directors are: Jackson Health System’s Senior Vice President & Chief Nursing Executive, Carol Cassandra Biggs MBA-HA, DHSc, RN; Palm Beach State College’s Associate Dean of Nursing, Carol A. Clarke EDD, DNP, MSN, RN; Indian River State College’s Dean of Nursing, Patricia A. Gagliano, PhD, RN; Arizona College of Nursing’s Dean of Nursing -Fort Lauderdale Campus, Jennifer M. Lucy DNP, MSN, PMHNP-BC, MED, RN-CNE; University of Miami Hospital and Clinics’ Director of Nursing – Critical Care and Progressive Care, Victor Ospina DNP, APRN, ACNP-BC, CCRN; and Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital Chief Nursing Officer, Jineal Shinn, MSN, RN, NEA-BC. The newly elected directors will begin their terms in July 2025.

The Nursing Consortium of Florida is a 501(c)3 non-profit corporation founded in 1997 to serve the professional needs of Florida’s nursing community. It’s member organizations include hospitals, accredited schools of nursing, nurse staffing agencies, and other providers of nursing services. The Consortium fosters and strengthens relationships between nurses in practice and academic settings, and promotes and facilitates collaboration among member organizations and others, to identify and address opportunities to strengthen nursing and ensure adequate access to high quality, ever improving, nursing services throughout Florida.
