Julio Barredo, M.D., Toppel Family Professor and Director of the Division of Hematology/Oncology in the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine, recently received the prestigious 2007 Micah Batchelor Award for Excellence in Childrens Health Research. The award will support Dr. Barredos work to improve the current drug therapies available for the treatment of acute lymphoblastic leukemia in children.
