North Broward Medical Center has been providing quality healthcare since 1961. The hospital is part of the North Broward Hospital District, the largest health system in Florida and one of one of the top ten largest hospital systems in the United States. As North Broward Medical Center continues to grow and expand their services the hospital actively seek input from the local community. This is one of the reasons that North Broward Medical Center decided to add a new medical office building and parking structure to their campus. These additions will be an enhancement to the hospital, physicians and the community. North Broward Medical Center is going through an expansion period. The hospital building is being repainted and there are plans for new exterior and interior signage. A new medical office building is part of the overall transformation. As a result of this development North Broward hopes to attract new doctors to their campus to deliver quality healthcare to the community. The advantage of this medical office building on the campus of North Broward is that it will allow for convenient ease of access for the doctors and their patients.
North Broward Medical Center will partner with Rendina Companies to build the new 60,000 square foot North Broward Medical Pavilion that will house various medical specialists and primary physicians. The new medical office building will be conveniently located adjacent to the main entrance of the hospital and connected by a covered walkway. “The North Broward Medical Pavilion will be a major asset to our hospital and the community,” states Pauline Grant, Chief Executive Officer of North Broward Medical Center. “We have valued our partnership with Rendina Companies in this significant growth period,” added Grant. “Through this relationship, we are working to deliver exceptional service to the medical community and expect to continue our beneficial affiliation in this regard for many years to come.” Rendina Companies will provide all of the project funding and is responsible for all project development and management. The new Medical Pavilion will increase North Broward and the physicians capabilities to provide quality healthcare in technologically advanced medical suites.
The expanded facilities also allow a greater scope of medical services to be offered to the local community. “Rendina Companies is proud to have been selected for this exciting project,” stated Bruce A. The development of this Medical Pavilion will benefit the hospital and the physicians from a financial standpoint as well. With Rendina Companies obtaining the capital to fund the project neither the hospital nor the physicians have a financial obligation for the development of the project.
One of the unique opportunities Rendina Companies offers to the physicians is ownership in the facility. As equity partners, the physicians share in the net operating cash flow and equity appreciation of the project. This is an advantage to the physicians because they are able to realize a high financial reward through their stake in the project, while minimizing the financial risks typically associated with ownership.
