FT. LAUDERDALE, Fla., December 17, 2024 — Health Network One (HN1), a leader in specialty network management, is proud to announce its recent contribution of $10,000 to the Florida Disaster Fund to support the state’s recovery from recent hurricanes. This donation reflects HN1’s commitment to helping communities rebuild after natural disasters and ensures Floridians have the resources they need to recover.

The Florida Disaster Fund, administered by Volunteer Florida, serves as the state’s official private fund dedicated to disaster relief. It provides immediate assistance and long-term recovery resources to individuals, families and communities impacted by natural disasters. This fund plays a critical role in enabling the state to respond quickly to urgent needs while supporting sustained rebuilding efforts.

“We are incredibly grateful for the ongoing support of organizations like Health Network One, whose contribution is critical to our ability to help Floridians recover from disaster,” said Jason Norris, Chief Financial Officer for Volunteer Florida. “Their generosity ensures that we can continue to provide necessary resources to those most affected.”

HN1’s donation is a natural extension of the company’s broader mission to improve the health and well-being of communities across Florida. HN1 understands that recovery goes beyond physical health–it encompasses the restoration of essential infrastructure, access to critical resources and the rebuilding of communities from the ground up. Through this donation, HN1 is taking meaningful steps to support the resilience of Floridians in their time of greatest need.

“The devastation caused by recent hurricanes has had a profound impact on Florida’s communities,” said Heyward Donigan, incoming Chief Executive Officer of HN1. “As healthcare industry professionals, we know that rebuilding is not just about restoring homes and rebuilding infrastructure – it’s about restoring hope and resilience. We are proud to support the Florida Disaster Fund and contribute to the long-term recovery of the state.”

As the presenting sponsor of the annual Florida Association of Health Plans (FAHP) Conference, HN1 used this platform to drive contributions and generate awareness for the Florida Disaster Fund. HN1 made their $10,000 donation in the name of the first 50 conference attendees to submit a business card at the HN1 booth. The full list of co-contributors can be found here.

The FAHP Conference took place in Orlando earlier this month, bringing together key healthcare leaders, policymakers and industry experts to discuss the future of healthcare in Florida.

Health Network One invites others to consider contributing to the Florida Disaster Fund, as every donation helps strengthen Florida’s communities and ensures those who have been affected can begin their journey toward recovery and resiliency.
