Dr. Amy Mostafavi offers world-class care and a variety of surgical procedures for patients on Florida’s East Coast.
July 6, 2023 – As part of its commitment to connecting the Palm Beach County and Treasure Coast communities to cutting-edge care, Tampa General Hospital (TGH) has welcomed a Palm Beach County-based surgeon to the TGH Heart & Vascular Institute.
Amy Mostafavi, MD, FACS, is board-certified in general and vascular surgery, and is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons. She can perform open surgery, as well as laparoscopic and endovascular procedures (less invasive methods to treat problems affecting the blood vessels). Mostafavi has been serving Palm Beach County and Treasure Coast patients for 25 years. She received her general surgery and vascular fellowship training at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston.
Mostafavi performs surgery at JFK Medical Center in Atlantis, FL. She will see patients in her office located at 1880 North Congress Ave., Suite 301, Boynton Beach, FL.

Prior to joining Tampa General Hospital, Mostafavi served as the chief of the Department of Surgery, as well as on the board of trustees at JFK Medical Center. She was also a clinical instructor in surgery and radiology for Harvard Medical School at Massachusetts General Hospital, as well as an assistant professor of surgery for the University of Miami’s Miller School of Medicine. Mostafavi brings vast experience and a renowned reputation to Tampa General Hospital’s presence on the East Coast. She has been recognized with the “Physician Hero Award” by JFK Medical Center and as a “Top Doctor” by Palm Beach Illustrated. Mostafavi has also published research articles and is a member of several professional medical societies.
