The Rev. Dr. Gary Johnson has been named to the Board of Directors of Baptist Hospital in Kendall.

Dr. Johnson has been the pastor of Wayside Baptist Church since 1997. Prior to coming to Miami, Dr. Johnson was the pastor of several churches in Illinois and Florida.

Dr. Johnson received his bachelor’s degree from Luther Rice Bible College, Jacksonville, Florida, and his master’s in religious education from Luther Rice Seminary. He holds a doctorate of ministry from International Bible College and Seminary in Independence, Missouri.
