Romero re-joins VITAS after a 16-year career in pharmaceutical sales and management. She first joined VITAS in 1989 as admissions coordinator in Miami-Dade County, Florida, and was promoted to VITAS representative—a position she held until 1998. From there, Romero served as a pharmaceutical sales representative and district sales manager for PDI/Astra Zeneca, and as a district specialty sales manager for Sanofi-Aventis Pharmaceuticals.
