Anniversary marked with generous gifts made possible by The Brady Hunter Foundation.
August 15, 2024 –The Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) of South Florida celebrated 42 years of serving families of seriously ill children by unveiling two gifts that are sure to make those families’ stays easier: a golf cart and new pillows for every room in the House. Current patients joined representatives from the Brady Hunter Foundation and Bloomingdale’s Aventura for the big reveal. The Brady Hunter Foundation is a non-profit committed to supporting those in need through strategic community partnerships. The new golf cart will help families navigate the Jackson Memorial Hospital campus..
The House opened on the Jackson campus in 1982 to provide “home away from home” for families of children receiving life-saving medical care at area hospitals. More than 260 families stay at the House every year, some staying for months as their children receive care for cancer, organ transplants, or extended stays in the neonatal intensive care unit.
“We are thrilled to celebrate the 42nd anniversary of Ronald McDonald House South Florida by supporting their incredible work with a donation of a golf cart to help families navigate their essential trips with ease,” remarked Josh Fox, Founder of The Brady Hunter Foundation. “Additionally, we are proud to contribute 125 pillows, generously provided by our partners at Bloomingdale’s Aventura, to ensure these families have comfort and rest during their challenging times. Our partnership with Ronald McDonald House Charities is a testament to our commitment to supporting families in need, and we look forward to continuing our efforts to make a difference in their lives.”
Research shows that improved rest enables parents to participate in their child’s care more effectively. Thanks to Bloomingdale’s Aventura’s thoughtful donation of high-quality pillows, families at RMHC South Florida will feel greater comfort and experience even more restful sleep throughout their stay.
