Donna Johnson is a nurse and case manager at the Broward Health Rehabilitation Institute at Broward Health North. A dedicated, compassionate registered nurse for 22 years, Johnson finds caring for others to be a very rewarding experience. In her position as a utilization review nurse and discharge planner in acute rehab, she compassionately advocates for patients and their families during their most vulnerable time of need. She ensures her patients have the care and motivation to successfully rehabilitate, as she continually helps to safely transition them to the next step in their recovery journey.

“What I love about nursing is how versatile it is,” Johnson said. “Following an injury, I left the bedside and became certified in case management where my skills and knowledge as a critical care nurse continue to serve me well.”

Johnson earned a bachelor’s degree in nursing from Villa Julie College, now Stevenson University, in Maryland.
