Tom Gillette doesn’t just manage technology—he reshapes how it connects people. With 25 years in healthcare IT, including two decades at Mount Sinai Medical Center, his leadership earned him the 2025 South Florida ORBIE Award for visionary innovation.

Under his direction, Mount Sinai has become a digital front-runner: AI tools that sharpen diagnoses, real-time monitoring that keeps patients safe at home, and a unified mobile app that brings scheduling, results, and telehealth into one touch.

Most recently, he led Mount Sinai’s collaboration with Epic to launch the world’s first Spanish-language AI messaging tool, making communication faster, clearer, and more inclusive for South Florida’s diverse community.
