Jose Martin, D.O., is Chair of Surgery at Broward Health Coral Springs Hospital.

Dr. Martin found his calling in medicine after childhood experiences as a frequent patient exposed him to the world of healthcare.

“I remember watching physicians move with confidence and compassion, and even as a child, I found myself wanting to stand where they stood,” said Dr. Martin. “The privilege of being able to help someone so directly resonated deeply with me.”

Helping his patients and setting an example for the next generation to work with excellence, compassion and resilience is what fuels him.

“Each day, I am driven by the knowledge that people are waiting for my help, individuals who place their trust in my hands during some of the most vulnerable moments of their lives,” said Dr. Martin.

Dr. Martin received his medical degree at Nova Southeastern College of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed his residency at Henry Ford Macomb Hospital.
