For Bianca Millien, the classroom has no borders. Though she began her career as a teacher in her native Austria, Millien found a second calling eight years ago when she joined Memorial Healthcare System. Today, she bridges the gap between education and lifesaving care while empowering others to reach their full potential.

A clinical nurse educator, Millien is the driving force behind the surgical and IR technologist clinical ladder at Memorial Regional Hospital South and chairs the hospital-wide clinical ladder. “These programs are more than just certifications; they’re pathways for my colleagues to elevate their careers,” said Millien.

The wife and mother of four thrives in Memorial Regional Hospital South’s centralized education model, which allows her to impact the entire facility rather than just a single unit. It’s an environment that suits her perfectly. “We’re a village here at South,” said Millien. “It’s a place where everyone knows each other, supports each other and grows together.”
