Officials at Catholic Health Services announced that in a report issued by UDS for 2010 medical rehabilitation outcome results, St. Catherine’s Rehabilitation Hospitals (North Miami and Hialeah Gardens) scored in the 94th percentile out of almost 800 facilities nationwide and St. Anthony’s Rehabilitation Hospital (Lauderdale Lakes) stands in the 88th percentile. The rankings were determined by UDSMR’s program evaluation model (PEM), a case mix-adjusted and severity-adjusted tool that provides facilities with a composite performance score and percentile ranking drawn from nearly three-quarters of all IRFs (inpatient rehabilitation facilities) in the country.
